During the course of this module I intend to extend and further develop my concepts from the previous module "painting and image making" where the class developed pieces inspired by various artistic and influential films from the past.
Looking closely at "the red shoes" I developed a range of work concerned with female gender roles and stereotypes.
I hope to now create a range of work driven by experimental practices using materials that I feel link with the way in which women are portrayed and represented. For example sugar and spice (comong from the old poem) and cleaning materials (which have an obvious link to female roles)
I am looking currently at the old poem "sugar and spice and all things nice" which seemingly teaches us that girls are sweet and nice, simple essentially and sickly. This has allowed me to develop a range of ideas for photographi/video  pieces containing signifying imagery and approaches.

Overall aims:
• To develop a range of work through exploring materials and techniques in photography/film
